Made in house, Hoc Sauce is Ad Hoc’s take on hot sauce, which pairs perfectly with the family-style restaurant’s famous buttermilk fried chicken. The hot sauce combines a blend of distilled white vinegar, garlic, jalapeno pepper, salt and serrano pepper, but the star ingredient is the aji dulce pepper, which gives the hot sauce a more fruity heat than a Scoville heat. These special peppers are grown in The French Laundry’s culinary garden located in Yountville, California.
