Description
Owner and chef of Hotel de Mikuni. Born in Mashike, Hokkaido. After training at the Imperial Hotel and others, he became the chef of the Japanese Embassy in Switzerland. He studied under Mr. Rude, and after training at Alain Chapel and other three-star restaurants, he opened Hotel de Mikuni. He has been commended as a "modern master craftsman" and is the representative of Japan for the "Supper of the Century" at the Palace of Versailles. In 2015, he was awarded the Legion of Honor Chevalier in France. Currently, he is also engaged in food education activities for children and slow food activities.
